A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE VERY VALUABLE COMPUTER MOTHERBOARDS WITH AN ACEDENTALLY DAMAGED CPU SOCKET AND THAT CAUSES THESE MOTHERBOARDS TO GO TOTALLY BAD AND BECOME UNUSABLE, MOST PEOPLE WILL JUST THROUGH THEM AWAY AND BUY NEW ONES, SOME OF THESE MOTHERBOARDS RUN FOR $300-$500 OR MORE, REPLACING THE DAMAGED CPU SOCKET WILL SAVE THESE MOTHERBOARDS AND GET THEM BACK TO FULL FUNCTIONALITY ONCE AGAIN

IN SOME CASES THE MOTHERBOARD CPU SOCKET IS NOT PHYSICALLY DAMAGED BUT HAS SOME KIND OF A BROKEN CONNECTION DUE TO SOME BAD SOLDERING POINTS DUE TO THE MOTHERBOARD AGE AND HOURS OF USE AND AS A RESULT THE PROCESSOR WILL NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY AND THE MOTHERBOARD IN THIS CASE WILL NOT TURN ON OR TUNS ON BUT WILL NOT SHOW PICTURE OR GIVES A BEEP ERROR THAT INDICATES A CPU PROBLEM, REPLACING THE CPU SOCKET WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS PROBLEMS, THIS PROBLEM APPLIES TO LAPTOP MOTHERBOARDS JUST LIKE DESKTOP MOTHERBOARDS AND THERE ARE CPU SOCKET TESTER FOR EACH SPECIFIC CPU SOCKET MODEL TO PROVE A SOLDERING ISSUE WITH THE CPU SOCKET.

I sent in a board that had a very badly damaged CPU socket. It was only a matter of a week and a half and my board was back at home with a new socket in place. Thanks again.

This is the place to go if you need replacement or reballing of your CPU socket for your Apple computer. They are competent, responsive, efficient and courteous. I needed their service twice, and both times they did outstanding work and turned around by board within a few days.

Was a bit skeptical on this process & had never heard of seller / service / site, but sent him an odd motherboard to reball and he did it. It works. Thanks for the help on this non-replaceable MB.

GREAT results - be patient

I was originally frustrated with them because I had not heard back or been able to get a status on my repair. All I can say is KEEP TRYING! I think they are severely understaffed, and just get buried. Long story short, they replaced my damaged CPU socket when everyone else said it was not possible. Thanks much fellas!

It came back, I hooked up and was very excited that everything worked great! Thank you Ps3specialist. I'll be using you again!

FLAWLESS PROCESS
Written by Romel on 29th Mar 2021

From the moment I purchased an order to repair my motherboard to the moment they sent back my motherboard, their process was just flawless. The whole process from shipping to them to receiving from them was fairly quick. I will use Reballing in the future!

Overall Great
Written by William McAlpin on 11th Feb 2021

It took me about 2 weeks to send my motherboard, the 1200 cpu socket replaced, and sent back. It works great. I was a little hesitate of sending my board with some negative reviews. My overall experience was great. I got notification when they began fixing my board and when it was shipped. Its an automated system. I hope if you use their service that you get a similar experience

Reball 1151

Everything was smooth, and once the motherboard arrived it was fixed and sent back within 2 days. They also sent back some extra motherboard parts I didn't realize I left in the box when I sent it down for repair.

Damaged CPU Socket Replacement Service
Written by R Stieffel on 14th Aug 2020

Service is very reasonably priced, the repair was complete the same day they received the motherboard and it was shipped back to me within a 5 days. The repair was professional and the motherboard works great. I wasn't happy with the packaging the board was shipped back to me in, it was a flat rate USPS box that the motherboard fit tightly in that offered next to no barrier space on top and bottom of my motherboard that I paid almost $600 for. The shipping box had a 4 inch gash in the backside facing the back of my motherboard. I am 1000% glad that no damage occurred to my motherboard and I would have paid another $10 to have it shipped properly back to me. If my motherboard had been damaged I believe that I would be F-ed, who would compensate me?

LGA-1155 Socket Replacement
Written by Rich E. on 27th Jul 2020

I was very confident I had troubleshooted the PC issue correctly and was dealing with a damaged CPU socket. Under magnification I could see the socket pins were bent and or broken. I am very tech savvy but motherboard CPU socket replacement is not within my skill set. I sent my motherboard in not expecting much but after a few weeks I was rewarded with a fully functional motherboard. If ever in the need I would use PS3 specialist again in the future.

Motherboard Review
Written by Yao on 2nd Jun 2020

Repaired my 1150 socket. Brought my motherboard back to life! Got it back in a little over a month Only feedback I have is to give potential clients an idea of lead times so that customers know whether or not to purchase the expidited service. In my case it wasn't an urgent matter as this was a secondary machine. Thank you!

Works great!
Written by Aryeh Goretsky on 30th Aug 2019

I ordered the reballing service for an LGA-1151 motherboard with a damaged socket. Repair was quick and the replacement looks and works as good as new. The service was a little pricey, but it cost less than replacing the motherboard, and generated far less e-waste. Communications were excellent, with my being notified every step of the way as the board was recieved, repaired, and shipped back to me. If I had to repair a motherboard again for this type of damage, I would definitely go to PS3Specialist for it.

Awesome replacement, 100% operational.

ps3specialist / Reballing Genius exceeded my expectations on fully replacing the socket of an Asus TUF Z170 S motherboard. The process to purchase the service and then send the damaged motherboard in was very straight forward. After a short period (~2 weeks in my instance), I received notice the motherboard was complete and shipped. The repaired motherboard looked physically perfect, no marring or new marks of any kind. The new CPU socket works perfectly and has restored operation fully. Great work and easily worth the price vs agonizing over manufacturer warranty and issues etc. Highly recommended.

My Experience with ps3specialist.com
Written by Trung Tien Do on 12th Mar 2018

I was not paid for or given any favors for writing this review, as I've decided to go out of my own way to give assurance to any person who wishes to do business with ps3specialist.com. No one wants to just ship off their electronics and have it stolen by some person using a fake website, so I get it, I get the concerns of many given how expensive electronics are, how much of a hassle it is to ship them, or simply the embarrassment of being scammed. Fools learn from experience, while the wise learn from history so keep reading and learn from mine. I sent an e-mail requesting service for my EVGA Classified K Z370 motherboard because, by my mistake, I accidentally bent the pins in the CPU socket. Bent CPU socket pins, generally are impossible to bend back with certainty that the structural integrity is completely restored and mostly would void any possibility of a return or exchange by a lot of vendor websites, even manufacturers. That e-mail was sent at 1:52AM PST (Yes, in the middle of the night) in the hopes that I will get a response some time the next day, probably in the afternoon or maybe even a few days given today's standards of e-mail response times. I got a response at 2:01AM PST. Nine minutes. It took only nine minutes for me to receive a response, and not some generic "Thank you for your inquiry" that you would expect to get, and we should all know what it feels like to receive one by now, but a genuine one written by a real person. In this case, it was Khaled, the owner of this website and the one who did my repair. In short, the repair was done in a single hour, which may concern some to ask, "How would you know for certain it was done in that time?". Well, it's because I actually met Khaled in person at his location and saw the repair with my own eyes. For most, they wouldn't have such an opportunity because of how far they live from him so I took it once I knew he was only an hour away from me so I got into the car and drove. The repair was no cheap hand-soldering job, it was done by machine, and ones that one can easily tell aren't cheap to own and are built specifically to do repairs. In other words, the tools of the trade to do the repairs here are professional-grade and not something an amateur should own, let alone use for themselves, let alone use to service actual customers. There are many people out there, possibly including yourself that has met a person that when they speak about a particular topic, it's easy to tell they have a genuine mastery of the subject material they're speaking about. Khaled is that person when it came to electronics and it's quite easy to tell given the sheer articulation answering all of my questions and concerns on the subject. As for motivation, it's clear to see the passion and love of doing one's work that is getting rarer and rarer each day in this era and I'm glad to see there's still people like him that exist because you have to be passionate to respond with a genuine e-mail in the middle of the night like that. Specifically, the socket wasn't merely repaired, it was actually replaced completely and tested in front of me. I returned home knowing for a fact that my product was repaired properly and of excellent quality as my i7 8700K is being overclocked very hard and torture-tested which would put any repair to the test. This website is legitimate. The owner and repairer, Khaled is EXTREMELY skilled and knowledgeable on electronics and got the job done. From the time I sent the e-mail asking for service to the time I had the motherboard home and fully-functioning: 15 hours. I know those who have to send their stuff from around the world won't get this type of service time, but for those like myself who was blessed by fate of being so close to meet and get direct service from Khaled, this type of turn-around time is unthinkable. When you actually care about your customers, know what you're talking about, and do it with conviction and class, you get customers for life. I live in a society where you're expected to be a man of integrity and when you shake another man's hand, you look them straight in the eye because it's all about reputation that matters and I can tell a man of integrity when I see one. I appreciate what you've done for me, Khaled, and more people should spread the word of your name, character, and craftsmanship.

• Computer Motherboard CPU Socket Replace
Written by RJ on 11th Feb 2018

Re-balling a CPU socket is no easy task; each one of those tiny, hard-to-see, socket pins crammed so close together each need their own little ball of solder without touching one another. AND, there are delicate components surrounding the socket which makes it even more difficult...even with the proper and expensive tools. That being said, Khaled and the folks at PS3specailist managed to bring my ASUS Z97 mobo back to life for a mere $100 (+shipping). I've tested it thoroughly: it see's all four sticks of RAM, overclocks both CPU and RAM as originally did, the PCIe 2.0 lane runs at 16x as it should. It's totally stable with no blue-screens or instant shut-down. To say I am happy and impressed is a gross understatement. This job was brilliantly handled by friendly, considerate techs who care about their work and your hardware. Turn-around times are fast and items are packaged well for priority shipping. A++ in every regard. The best solution by far!

i damaged my Motherboard Socket Cleaning it, Bent Pins Everywhere the diagnostic seems fatal. "just buy a new one" but i refuse to junk a 300 high end motherboard for a simple physical and repairable damage but the nightmare begins after that "We do not offer this service" "Never i Do That" Also the motherboard company(gigabyte) just ignore me and close all my options to send them to one of the repair centers(Mexico or Usa) so searching in internet i ended here and found that they offer a motherboard cpu replacement.. I ran the risk pay a expensive international shipping(DHL EXPRESS) but totally worth the motherboard was delivered to them and immediately goes for repair 1.5 hours later they finish and ship back fast less that one day for repair this Amazing. i just recommend this for people with high end motherboards that just bent some pins or destroy the socket you can repair it!
